Actually I just ordered the program the other day.  Did a couple of workouts with one of the guys that had it, and it is tough!  Its actually kinda fun though, and it works well.  He's already lost like 20lbs in about a month,  and his endurance, flexibility, and overall fitness have gone through the roof.

It seems to be well documented that most people don't eat right, which makes them gain weight rather than burn it throughout the day.  What they're doing wrong is eating a couple or few bigger meals, thinking that gives them the energy they need to get through the day.  What's recommended is to eat several small meals throughout the day, which keeps your metabolism working constantly.  I'm sure germ can go into more detail or tell me I'm wrong  :haha:

Well, I got to a point of utter frustration for myself a few days ago and set a workout gameplan.  Unfortunately, it happened right before all the craziness at work.  I stepped on the scale after taking a shower, and nude I was 150.  Sounds pretty light for most of you, but you have to remember I'm barely 5'3" and by no means am musclebound.  Not cool  :thumbdown:

I decided then and there that I would set a goal of a certain number of situps, pullups (I've been doing them already, just upped the amount), pushups, and time on the stationary bike.  As soon as work calms down and I get back to a more regular work schedule I'll adhere to my workout, and as I get used to it I'll crank it up.

The upside to the crazy work schedule is I've already lost 4 pounds!  I guess not eating much and working your ass off actually has a payoff  :haha:  I'd like to see a more fit 130-135 asap, and there's no good reason why I shouldn't!

I'm not freakin' around anymore, I am tired of looking at the beer belly, and feeling like a lard ass, and I am doing it this time.

My daily routine is:

jump rope (starting out, going for 4 sets of 100)

pushups (starting 4 sets of 12)

Just got my gym membership back and plan to do an 1/3 cardio, 2/3 lifting.

I have a good foundation, its just burried under some fat  :gap:

Dietwise, I am cutting ALL alcohol (even light beer!  :sad2:), soda, and energy drinks.

Going for a real basic simple diet (i can eat the same thing over and over and never get sick of it)

6 small meals a day, consisting of mainly eggs, meat, fruit, veggies, and myoplex whey protein shakes

Going to do my best to cut wheat products out as much as possible (I have the gene for celiac disease, which has the potential to not manifest itself until my 50s or 60s, so I want to get a head start on it now)

Just got started and I am feeling great...  :yesnod:

Starting weight as of 12/16/09 is: 234 lbs  :_oops:

Good for you man, hasta start somewhere!  My problem has always been sticking with it but...

:yikes:  The new job changed a lot of things, one of them being my body and shape.  I'm stringier, leaner, and if I weren't so sore all the time, I'd think stronger!  I can definately see it in my face and neck too, but my arms are more defined, my gut has shrunk and my love handles are noticably smaller. 

Now for the kicker;  the last few days I've been checking my weight in the morning, mostly cause I'm standing right next to the scale while shaving.  With sweat pants, long socks and a fleece sweatshirt I'm about 127 pounds consistently  :gap:  One of the nicer things about it too, my man boobs are actually starting to resemble pecks.  I've never had pecks.  They're by no means nice now, I just wouldn't be so embarassed to be seen without a shirt now, and by summer I'm sure it'll be even better.

As for the bike trainer, that thing just doesn't cut it!  Aside from being past obnoxiously loud, I just can't get into sitting in one spot and pretending to ride.  I need to ride for real!

One downside of being so much lighter is needing help changing tires sometimes.  I'm just too damn light to get some of them on or off  :haha:  Sometimes I'll be completely hanging from two levers and have to call for help.

i still am in the process of losing the last 100lbs and am starting to work with a metabolic specialist.

I have made big progress since September. Lost 33 lbs. so far. I am training Kickboxing 3 times a weeks, supplementing cardio and treadmill work on my off days. Also on a high protein low carb diet. I get one cheat day a week where I get to drink my beers. And I have 10 more lbs. to get to my goal weight.

I know its not much, but I have lost 3 lbs in 4 days, though I figure it has more to do with not drinking alcohol/soda more than anything. Feeling good so far!!!

Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

Yes, my ratio will probably end up being more like 1/4 cardio, 3/4 lifting. I want to do the cardio though because my girlfriend is a runner and I want to finally be able to keep up with her!!  :thumbs: Otherwise, I plan to use lifting to burn the most fat.

Here is my 6 day update.

I am down to 227 lbs. Lost 7 lbs so far :woohoo:

And I am just getting started.

Instead of my initial jump rope routine, I have switched to doing this routine, which as my endurance improves I will up the time and the number of sets.

3 minute, jump rope warm up. 60 second rest.

1 minute intense jump rope. 30 second rest.

Repeat 4 times daily until I feel I can up that to 5+

Also doing 10 minutes in the morning on the trampoline, and 10 minutes at night, incorporating various mini exercises into it.

Dang reading all of this is making me have to start trimmin down for this new year. When I came back from Afghanistan I was 165 now without doing anything due to being lazy I'm up to 219 OMG I gotta do something :yikes: I feel like a lardazz :reg: Haha maybe I should go on another deployment :shudder:

Well I have been at it tough, on course with my work out routine and my diet. I think radically changing my diet and getting into a daily exercise routine has really helped me shed the pounds. I am pretty freakin' stoked with my progress so far...

Since December 14th, I have gone from 234 lbs to 218 lbs. That is 16 lbs in one freakin' month! :woohoo:

I told my mom (who is also trying to lose weight) and she was super jealous.  :gap:

I was drinking a LOT of beer and soda though and eating a really shitty diet. I think this rapid weight loss is going to die down pretty soon, which is fine really because I think I will find my ideal range between 200-210lbs. I have burned most of the excess fat everywhere and all that is left is my stomach. Looking at how I feel now, compared to a month ago, I can see my metabolism has sped up 10 fold. I am eating 5-6 meals a day and still end up hungry before I go to bed, and I am putting on a ton of muscle at the same time.

So to anyone out there that really wants to lose weight, if you make some radical changes in your diet and make a conscious effort to do some kind of physical activity every day, I think you can shed the pounds too. You just have to stay committed. I will admit I have had 2 "drink beer with buddies" nights, where I drank a few ales, and I broke down one night and even had some Taco Bell. Otherwise however, I have stayed on track and I think that has really helped me burn that winter blubber. The best part is, once you really get on track and motivated, it gets a lot easier.

My only regret is that they did not start the Pirate4x4 "Biggest Loser" competition earlier. Because I am pretty sure I would win! :)

I got on the scale after the holidays (I admit it, I slacked off on the working out :down: ) and found out that I'm down to 259! :woohoo:  I haven't broken 260 since a brief period in 2007 (when I was in the academy), and prior to that, not since high school!  I'm shooting for 245-250, so I'm getting close :woohoo:

I started 2007 weighing 297 lbs, and started 2010 weighing 259, so I'm pretty stoked right now.

Not much progress since I last reported as I think I have pretty much peaked in terms of my initial rapid weight loss. But I have made it to 20 lbs lost. I am 214 as of this morning. Pretty much all I have left to burn off is around my belly/love handles. I think I can shed another 5-10 lbs and be in my ideal range again after 2 or 3 years.
