Sounds a bit steep to me for being rolled.  You'll want something that you can sell enough parts off to help take out some of the sting.

'97 is pretty old.. :shudder:.find out the mileage and condition of the components that are useable/sellable. Only then will you know if it is worth it. It seems like everything would have to be in good to excellent shape including a 3.4 engine to be worth that much... :twocents:

yea i kind of figured that much...its at a dealershp too so that also explains the price..

i also came across an 87 4runner for a grand...2.4 5spd...117k for 1k obo
just needs battery and fuelline/return line. now this sounds like a deal, as long as thats all that's wrong with it...but theres no real way in telling.. so i'm a little mixed on this situation also..

If thats all it needs take a battery and some fuel line to dump fuel back into a jug or something. Should be an easy way to figure out if it will run or not.
