Then at that point, you'll have to pay $3-400 for a smog.

You're correct about the one time smog deal, but how do you figure that 3-400 bucks? Do you mean that is how much it would cost to revert everything back to smoggable equipment?

So if I understand correctly...if I were to get a change of address and get the truck registered in ukiah, get it smoged there once when I register it, and never again? To me thats the same as not smogging because after that you can do whatever to your truck. It would be awesome not to have to smog because then you can get headers for just a couple hundred bucks instead of paying 400 for smog legal ones. :dunno: sounds good to me!

Man that sound like a hassle to me. Out here in Colorado if your vehicle is 25yr old you can get collator plate which run about $250 and get an emissions test $20 and you never have to get emissions again and you only need to get new tags $35 every 9 or 11 year, i cant remember. thats what i did with my 76 f250.

ha..... probably not anytime soon :D. I'm still in the parts collecting phase, by the time I get done collecting, maybe someone will have some bolt in motor mounts and it'll take ALL the guess work out of it for me :D. I should have my rebuild kit purchased by the end of June and HOPEFULLY my engine rebuilt by July. If everything goes right, maybe this thing will be running by August.

No but I will be looking for a motor first because here in Hawaii you don't see to much tacomas that's 2.7L but might be lucky and come across one from a T-100.  If all fails just order one from the mainland then get the harness.

hey I haven't actually hooked it up yet, but it's basically an adapter harness. My engine will be dropped in this weekend, so I should know something either this weekend or next weekend. I'm going to attempt to use the 22RE fuse box, supposedly you can, if it doesn't work I'm gonna get a 3RZ fuse box. You still use the stock 3RZ engine harness and the 22RE dash harness. You plug both of them into the ORS harness and plug the ORS harness into the computer. There are a few hook ups that you have to make(can't remember them off the top of my head) but they're all labeled very specifically. Any idiot could hook this up.

I was doing a write up on TTORA, but my desktop fried and my new camera that I still Bestbuy money on is MIA. Another computer and digi cam just isn't in my budget right now. I'll document everything on paper and type it all up when I get the swap completed.
