Actually we have been working along side with ORS to get this harness on the market. We are pleased that they are willing to produce a harness for the 3RZ

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEED. 700 dollars!! WOW thats a lot of money for a bundle of wires..but hey if it saves you a hundred hours of work, its worth it to me.

So the stand alone version is for 84- trucks with the stock 22r? This is HUGE for me. I can do wiring but I dont have any experience with wiring harnesses and I dont want to deal with it. It looks like a nightmare to me.

Im looking forward to more info on this.

ya i know that but i could have sworn that guy on the pirate board (which by the way isnt showing up) said theres one to create the harness for non-efi trucks. maybe i read it wrong. i wish it was still there so i could look again. but ya i thought thats what it meant? that sucks if it doesnt. youll have to get a harness anyways so its almost pointless :rivers:

Not to me, that would be more like "not in caliy you smog blind fool"

To me "stand alone" means it does not use any of the stock wires.

it stand off by it self and does the job. all alone.

thats how i see it as well... stand alone as meaning you buy it and it includes all that is needed, doesnt require anything else

thank you! WORTH 700 dollars for sure. I might have to get one of these this summer. Who do I talk to about ordering, just for future reference? I looked on off road solutions website and I couldnt find the 3rz harness.  :slap:

I called and talked to Jeremiah at ORS, and he said that basically its a plug and play set up... The only thing you'd really have to cocern yourself w/ is battery wiring. But that's no big deal. He said there was about a 2-3 week wait on the harness. I will be purchasing one in the next couple of months :D

That is what i was wondering. i dont wont to mess around with getting a bunch of different senses and fuse boxes. i was looking at lc's stand alone kit but it is $1400.00 but if i can get the same thing for $700.00 and find a motor for $700  :crossed: then I'm at 1400 instead of 2100 and then all i need is the new bell housing from marlin to adapt my r151 and wooohooo "on the road again ".  O-man I'm as giddy as a school girl

Those are still kinda hard to come by around here.  One of the bigger yards thinks anything that says toyota is worth gold and often charges full or close to full retail, but my brother is friends with the owner of another yard so :crossed:  Still, I don't have the money for the swap so it's futile to talk to any of them now anyway.

I told my dad about the harness and hes a little more into the idea of a swap now.  He still doesnt want me to because Ill make a huge mess in the garage for a couple months. Personally I dont think he would want to take on a motor swap, so he thinks I wont be able to. I think im 100% capable but he doesnt seem to think so, so he doesnt want me to take it on.  Oh well I guess Ill just save up, get my hands on a motor/tranny/bellhousing/tcase adapter/efi tank/harness and just start doing it.  When he comes home from work and the motor is on the floor he cant really tell me to put it back in.

Im definatley going to save up for this harness.

You still have to smog in Ukiah. All the counties up there do. Lake County, Humbolt, I forget the other one.. But you have to smog your vehicle once there, and then never again. And it happens to be when you change ownership of the vehicle. So if you've already done that you're in the clear, unless you get pulled over by a cop that has a Toyota, or want to sell the truck. Then at that point, you'll have to pay $3-400 for a smog.
