pushing my transmission skid plate back four inches, to make room for the 3RZ-FE. so, i need to fabricate some new mounts frame to skid. just wondering if any body has any interesting ideas on how to design the new mounts.

weld plates to the frame and gusset them

yeah thats what i thought, but i have to make room for either the nut or stud that will fasten the skid plate to the frame. the other problem is i'm unable to weld a nut in the frame, i guess i could cut a hole in the frame and drill a couple of holes and tack them in.

I think he means weld a plate at a right angle to the frame, then gusset it.  use the plate that is parallel to the ground to mount the skid to.   Basically copy the way that the stock crossmember is attached.
