Hi all, happy to find yet another source for good info.  I'm in the process of rebuilding/upgrading a 66FJ40.  Rebuilt 2F, 4spd, original t/c-rebuilt, new rear sill and tub corners, fresh paint, POR/Herculiner inside.  Just now putting it all back together but strongly considering a wire harness rebuild while I'm at it.  Got on Marlin's site looking for alternator info.  I'll need more juice for winch, lights, and the must-have sound system.  Next step will be a set of 78 axels, some sort of lift, or learning what I could do with the set of FJ60 springs that I have.  Power steeing is being figured out now I think!  Learning as I go...husband thinks I've gone bonkers!  he might be right! :beerchug:

My first truck was a 67 FJ40. Bought it for $600 after a drunk hunter rolled it in Oregon.
