Bucket Seats
« on: Mar 26, 2007, 11:59:04 PM »
has anyone heard any good reviews about A1 Performance Parts?
they have seats on e-bay :http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/59-99-PR-BUCKET-RACING-SEATS-RED-BLACK-YELLOW_W0QQitemZ140100437422QQcategoryZ33701QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

so i was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with them and if they are a good brand of seats
i know that there are better brands out there but i dont have that kind of money yet. really i just need or want new/different seats

thanks for all the comments and help
How can i have another Nutter Butter Peanut Butter Cookie Dookie Sandwhich, if i have not had my first Nutter Butter Peanut Butter Cookie Dookie Sandwhich?

Not much to them 18 Pounds? They look more like seat skins. Remember you get what you pay for and at that price I would walk away :twocents:

I put APC seats from JEGS in my '91 pickup.  :rockingout:They are almost worth the $300.00 for the 2.
ALMOST bolted right in, and dirt cheap, But you have to be a freakin' contortionist to climb up into them!! :spin:

If your in the market for different buckets. A common swap is using civic or integra buckets. Great lumbar support/comfort and they are cheap. I think you have to move the rear mounting bolts back. AND, GSR integra's came with leather. :) If my SR5 buckets weren't perfect thats what i would do.
Starting from scratch again...

If you're keeping your truck for any lenght of time you might want some seats other then APC or the like. The material tends to be low quality and wear out to the point where holes and tears start showing up. The cushioning isn't that great either.

When I decide to pony up the coin for some aftermarket seats, I'll get a full suspension seat. Better for your back then a regular seat. Till then my Grand Cherokee seats will be fine.

Its true. You get what you pay for when you buy seats. The good ones cost more than alot of us paid for our trucks.
