Hey peps, i know its not the same style lights, grille and stuff. but Ive been pondering doing a 99 tacoma headlight and grille conversion to my 86 4runner.
My core support is anything but straight and even the stock light buckets, grille and what not will have to be modified and mounts fabbed to have it look right. for around the same money as its going to cost me for stock stuff i can get replacement 99 tacoma stuff. do you think its worth the trouble? have you seen it done?

Yo Matt , I think it will look good . Not too many out there so I think it will be a little different and different is awesome ! ! ! . I have a couple of pictures somewhere of Jon B's old Runner which now lives in Norway and that has a whole Tacoma front clip . Looks nice .      It still looks the same as the last picture I posted . I actually went by the shop but the paint he just bought wasn't the exact same color

Okay so here's what I am looking for, I would like some demension measurements of the tacoma fenders, height (cowl mount to rocker panel mount) width (core support to cowl mount) and if i can get how much the center of the (height) bows inward. so i can see if i can massage it or my doors enough to look pleasing to the eye. I wanna try this without expensive conversion fenders and what not

Yeah that's the plan Matt . Gonna link the front as soon as it's done at the body shop . It's been in there way too long . It was supposed to get partially painted yesterday but I didn't get a chance to stop by , so I will go by tomorrow maybe . Been kinda busy now that my kids went back to school , especially since they both go to two different schools now (Jr. High & Elementary) . So that keeps me on my toes . Hoping to have it painted this week for sure and then the front will be getting linked

I've been a little busy lately , especially now that both my boys have gone back to school . They keep me on my toes   . . . I went by the shop today and not much progress has been made but he was putting the final touches on it before it gets painted , so I'm really hoping it will be painted within the next couple days . cant wait to see the macho taco back in action.i like this rig so much..ive been doing auto body collision/resoration for alot years now and would have gladly offered up my time to help you rebuild it..(you would be driving it by now..lol).hurry up.haha..i always thought your cage/backseat was cool but that roll would have been pretty scary if you had the kids in the back.my new rig has an exo and man does t ever make me feel safe.
