maybe it already had a crease and then just spinning there it decided to bend haha
it had a bad wobble to it and I was a moron when I hit the gas pedal in 4th gear to spin it faster

thegoofster21

for hy-steer do NOT go with 4x4 labs

Any guy who takes his woman wheeling enjoys her. A woman who is owned is left at home to cook, clean, and keep beer cold. So if this offends you you should stop looking and go have some tacos.    :rofl2: And a beer. If your old enough.   :beerchug:

Wheeled the hell out of it on my b-day weekend April 25. Gas tank was seeping gas after so I'm going with the fuel cell.

four wheeled the doo doo out of it for Memorial Weekend and everything worked great should have done fuel cell long time ago!

ok anyone got advice on what front springs to use to keep tires out of firewall/fenderwell and not screw me from going with MC cross over steering? Some of the springs move the axle forward 2-3 inches don't they? will it give me problems going to high steer?

HDcruiser

Im running AP's, my brother is runnin Marlins. I think they are both equal.
What size fuel cell are you running? My friend put a cell in his rig and then he went to smog it and it was a automatic fail.   :headscratch:

no smog in Oklahoma! It is the RCI 10 gallon alluminum with 2 inch sump and foam, got it on E-bay for $150 to my door.
Do those springs move the axle forward? how much? what size tires you running? any hitting on the cab/fenderwell?

move the steering box forward to compensate for moving the axle forward, you have to use an IFS box anyway for highsteer so just move it forward when you do that.  Make sure you reinforce the frame around it too.

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

^^^What he said. Move the IFS box as far up the frame as you can until you hit the body mount. As for springs, I used two sets of rear springs from an '82 truck and cut them down for a total of 6-leafs per pack. They RUF's moved the axle forward 3''. I used Sky's front crossmember and boomerang shackles.

As for hi-steer, I run marlin steering arms and all-pro tie rod & drag link. Both have very nice products.

Redbeard3261

do those bolt right in or do I need to relocate the spring hanger? RUFs = run up fronts, right? Do they flex pretty good and will my 35's fit without problems? right now I'm running 5 in lifts that were on it when I bought it 8 yrs ago. I've pulled them and had them rearched about 5 yrs ago.

research my friend.

RUF = Rears Up Front.
they are flexy, cheap and do very well.
and as u can run 33s stock with no lift. then yes 35s will fit no problem with a 6pack RUF.
