What transmission and what engine in a 94 4runner body?

I am getting ready to build up a 94 4runner that I have. It currently has a blown 3.0L. I would like to put in a 3.4L and a w56 can I do this? Any other ideas? thanks

i could be wrong but i thought people did the 3.4 swap on the 3.0s is because the 3.4 will mount easily to the current tranny which means that a w56 is out of the question. people would mount r151s to 22res but they use the turbo bellhousing? sorry but i dunno much about the v6's...

Thats kinda what I was thinking. My 3.0 has thrown a rod(previous GF drove it 3000 miles with NO OIL!) so I am trying to figure out the best way to go about fixing that problem, making it better, and swapping in a 5spd, all at the same time!
