beadlock wheels questions!!
« on: Feb 27, 2007, 06:48:11 AM »
i am going to be ordering some bead locks soon and i am looking for peoples opinions or suggestions as far as what company i should go with. the three that are most appealing to me are the stuan internal bead locks wich would be nice beacuase i can use reversed wheels. high impact bead locks that are the same price or less than the staun's. or my favorite is trailreadys bead lock's but the only down fall is that the biggest back spacing is 3.75 or a reversed 2.5 but that would runn the risk of lossing the inner bead.
any advise is veary help full.

stay away from reversed centered rims, imo i bought some and wasn't able to mount my tires... 39.5 iroks... on 15-8- with a 2.5in BS.. if you get a set rims with a drop center that is less than i want to say 12 3/4... don't quote me on that than they will work... my buddy ryan mounted his iroks on the same rims and it was hell. he had the right drop center... i plan on buying some nice aluminum TR's when i get new tires/ wheels

Stazworks double beadlocks are pricey ($260-300 per) but they sure are nice. :bling: www.stazworks.com

Or on the other end of the price spectrum, I have been happy with my DIY beadlocks on the standard black rock crawler rims. No bling, but I haven't lost a bead yet. :crossed: http://diy4x.com/main.htm
