CALICO CLEAN-UP...*Some Pics*

A couple of the Rock Brawlers attended the Calico Clean-Up today,unfortunately I didn't have my rig done in time but that wasn't reason enough for one not to go out and clean our trails.The event was put up by TLCA and I'd like to give special thanx to Ron Q.(RokCrawlinToy) for all his effort.The event went well and we had a great turn out,collected a ton of trash and had some great raffle prizes.

A couple of cool rigs I saw at camp.

We started going up Duran Canyon and pulled off to the side to let a group of Jeepers go by and one of them bent his tie rod about one quarter of the way up.

A couple of buddies and I got him going again.Pulled off the tie rod(pain in the ass),bent it back as much as we could and then sleeved it with a high lift jack handle.That's me in the middle with the black shirt.I DID want a picture of me working on a rig other than my own

We kept finding unusual crap,like these weights and some dumb bells and a small TV.Found a bunch of cans and a bunch of broken glass,by the end of the day a couple of the trucks had a bed full of trash.

The winners of the All-Pro prizes.We gave away a set of lower rear FJ links,an FJ skid plate and a complete Hy-Steer kit for older trucks.The guy that won the hy-Steer was a Jeep guy and he sold it to someone there for $100

And these are Brian's rigs.Brian builds some of the sickest R/C rock crawlers I've seen,from full comp rigs to full scalers(shown).These little rigs are so detailed,they have working winches,lights,high lift jacks.If you'd like to check out his site it's www.rcpcrawlers.com ,notice the  sticker in the second pic.

I fell in love with this one.I wish I had money to buy this thing.One like this goes for around $1000.Definately worth it IMO,if you saw the ammount of work that goes into them.The ice chests have little ice cubes and tiny little beers.

Hey Peps, Good seeing you guys out there. Good pics. It was a great event and BLM was VERY impressed, BLM Park Ranger Arthur Bausulto said it was the Best organized event he had seen since he has been there. 
Several large trash bins were filled, and abandoned car removed from the trail. I think we had around 800 people registered, & just under 400 rigs. Last night we estimated about 500 people actually showed up.
So Thanks to those of you that came out to help clean yesterday.
