i got a few pm,s every once and a while after i post a pic of the truck so i figure i would post up a pic thread. none of the pics are in any order. the truck works the way i think it should, which is really well.
the specs are
'85
w56
duals(stock gears)
38.5" tsl/sx or 37" mtr's
diamond front w/5.29/30spl/ez locker/arp every thing
ifs rear/5.29/detroit/(and if my lazy ass ever installs it, front range full float)
home brew rears/chevy's
14"billstiens(that aren't long enough for the front)

and a pimpin sound system :willynilly:

this pic is decieving (sp?) because the vegitation is about 10' away from that rock front and back. also where the top of my bed isgoes down hill to a nasty pond. the truck is nowhere near the green stuff!

also i don't think i'm in any of those pics, little brother in law is on top (laughing cause he just flopped my truck)

Was the first pic in the "tank trap" How did it do? Your tube work in the rear is a clean design, i like it.

the first pic was from a ledge that i fell off of at hollister. i was actually scared to do the trap till i did the cage because i used to dd it. i can't wait till memorial weekend to try the tank trap.
thanks for the kind words on the rear cage/bed work, i adapted what i needed out of a design(all poo) that i liked, then started building.

well, a year and a half ago when i ordered my diamond axle, i ordered the a front range full float kit that was not on the site. brian ellinger talked me into one of his new kits that was "designed for the sas people". basically iffn' you are doing a sas you need to buy
#1 solid axle spindles
#2 vented rotors for the front
#3 ifs callipers

well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

at the time i had all the parts mentioned (minus the vented cruiser roters).by the time i reciveid my diamond(my fault, yard clean up)i had none of the parts. so today i ordered my vented rotors(for the front) and some loaded calipers. now all i need are the IFS hub body's and some drive flanges.
i'll post up when i get it installed.

yotee

got full float?

yotee

only took about 45 min per side, but i'm lazy.
uses ifs hub body, disks and caliper with either drive flange or manual hubs. it adds about 1 3/4" to each side.

mike, WB finally got his certification on welding so he landed a job up the hill (he is actually on a pay roll) i believe that the best time to get a hold of him is on the weekend to have him look at your steering.
