Hey guys.
Yeah, I'm back, and still have the 1998 "Mall crawler" 4runner with the 3.4l V6.
So far, it has stayed stock, as much as before. It has been wheeled a little, but mostly daily driven since the WRX has been getting built up with big turbo.
Anyways I have been daily driving this truck, with normal driving (for me, so a little leadfoot, not too bad though) with about 11mpg.
So I have decided with 129k on the clock, it is time for another tune up and new exhaust. I am going to replace the catalytic converter and muffler and the piping from the cat back, I am just going to have a custom one fabbed up at an exhaust shop. I am also going to do spark plugs and wires while I am at it. Hopefully that makes the 4runner less sluggish and hopefully I can start getting 15+mpg again.
So is the stock exhaust 2.25" or 2.5"?
I was looking at this cat.

Looking at it today I'm surprised I haven't blown a hole through the muffler, LOL.
