rear axle upgrade?

I will be getting 30 spl longs for the front.Do I need to upgrade the rear?if so whats a good axle?
I have dual case, 5.29's locked f/r,35" tires and will maybe move up to 37" someday.

what year truck do you have?  if you have the 79-85 rear axle, ditch it and get an 86 and newer one.  it is 3 inches wider and i think the axles are stronger.  you should be golden with just a stock one.  you will most likely break ring and pinions or output shafts before the axle shafts.  but with only 35's you shouldn't worry about breaking really anything in the rear end.

When I had Toyota axles only thing I considered for the rear is a full floater kit... just in case you busted an axle you could change it out on the trail.

But like Hyena said... I doubt you'll break a rear axle shaft.
