rear drive shaft

Is it ok to cut down a rear drive shaft and use it in the front?

As long as the flange is the right size. The flange on the front of the transfer case is a different size than the rear.

be sure and have it re-balanced too, to help eliminate vibration....that'll save your pinion nut from coming loose and tearing up the diff internals

Thats another thing. The rear driveshaft and a stock front driveshaft only have 5" slip yokes, so when you flex out your truck your driveshaft will over extend and fall into 2 pieces. I think it might be better to keep your front driveshaft and buy Marlins 8" slip yoke and weld that in :twocents:
