Why dosen't my 87 toyota have cupholders??? Who's idea was this anyway? Today I spilled a perfectly good beverage.

So if anyone has cupholder ideas I would love to hear them.

how are your front seats set up? lots of people go to walmart and get the consoles, they fit between the seats and have cupholders

I have modified saturn bucket seats... I thought about that, but figured there had to be a better and cooler way to do it.

I was going to fab a custom console, but hadn't gotten that far yet...

there was a discussion on this on PBB.. search if you've got a red star.

I can't recall the specific thread off hand but they had some really nice cup holders that ranged from $10 up to $130!

Goto any auto parts store. They should have the one that hang on your wondow seal. Cheap & a temp solution until you can get something better. Here's a link.

basically on pirate, you have to pay $ to get a red star and then you can search... otehrwise you are limited to just reading posts and posting, but no other user members other than pm

You have to buy a red star to use their search... There's always googles advanced search option, where you can type in what you're looking for and keep the results of the search to just pirates site. I've never used the red star search, but I have read that some people prefer google over it anyway.

here is what i did...took a 2001 standard cab taco shifter bezel with boot and put it on my 85 runner. fit pretty good. now i just need to find a 2000+ console out of a extended cab to add to it...

im dooing like 85 cant seem to find a console either. these cup holders I think only came on regcabs. the extended put the cupholders in the centterconsole, or were autos

if you look at the bottom of the standard cab shifter bezel, then you can see the slightly indented sides. they allow a center console to be attached. toyota has a ton of different style center consoles and shifter bezels for the 2000+ year tacos. i live near the cerritos auto square so i check out the toyota yard all the time, it's awesome seeing new stuff. funny thing is i dont go there to buy, just to look and the auto salesmen all think i NEED a new truck! i love my eightyfive

oh, yea..it swivels 360 so if u roll your rig u wont spill your beverage of choice

take water bottle holders from a moutain bike and screw them into your dash. perfect cup holders and cheap too. but you gotta drill into your dash

I'm going with what easy said...Spillmaster. I always bought mine at ChinaMart...they adjust to fit almost any cup/ bottle/ can securely, i had sticky soda everywhere with every other kind, but these are cheap and they work great. Probably available at Auto Zone, Pep Boys, etc.

Hey do those cupholders on that bezel get in the way of the passenger seat sliding foreward?? If not im going to start looking for one of those, i like that idea. looks smooth.

it isn't a direct bolt in. i cut off the old bezel tabs and repositioned them then screwed them in allowing the passenger seat to slide as far forward as possible. in short, no they do not hit the seat!
