Hello,

I just check the vacuum modulator on my distributor and the first diaphragm is in-op. So I'm not getting the 7 degrees of advance at idle. Anyways the Auto Parts store tells me that it going to cost me 100 bucks for a replacement. Aside from pulling one from a salvage yard does anybody have any other ideas or cheap repair ideas?

this is true.  if you want to go aftermarket, it is only like 50 bucks more to get a reman dissy.  There is no way to fix it other than replace it.
