all right TG has them so when is Marlin bringing them out and will u be selling a tab to weld to our current billit high steer arms so we do not have to buy new arms???

affende

staright from Trail Gear's website: ' Six Shooter KnucklesTM    are a Marlin Crawler design and are manufactured exclusively by Trail-Gear Inc.  '
Please excuse my grammar and spelling, im from Virginia.

boggerunner

holy crap its true, did trail gear steal another one? and where are the marlin ones?

Bigmike what happened?

82toycrawler

From TG's site earlier, Marlin and TG were supposed to release them at the same time.  So, I would guess that Marlin should have them out really soon.

No sense in assuming anything though, you never know how things are gonna go until something gets announced here.

reading what was posted it doesnt sound like marlin will be releasing any. the way its worded sounds like tg got the rights to sell from marlin, either handed over or in the court case, and it says tg has exclusive production rights (meaning no one else should be able to make them)

I talked to Marlin last night  ,  he wasnt  a happy man, :headshake:   he said they had  some there but  would not be releasing them,

the design was stolen,  and they are using Marlins name  to sell them.  they  fought in court to keep them  but  couldnt continue  the fight.  so if  you like the idea of  running a stolen product on your truck be my guest

I REALLY hope marlin designs a different style of 6 stud knuckles, just changes them a little and has a different company build them for him.  It's a horrible shame to have somebody soulessly steal your designs/products and just walk away :maddest:

I'm really sad to hear that. If true (sorry, I don't mean to question you, but I wasn't there to hear it myself), then it confirms that TG has been out to get Marlin for a long time. Sadly, there are a number of people who believe TG is the best thing since sliced bread, and they are going to make a fortune on these. I hope that Marlin is at least getting licensing fees for these knuckles.

if what i have been hearing is true....trail gear will have no more of my business :nope:

That sucks hard. The reason why my buddy CJ is going to 60's was because he couldn't get the six studs from Marlin. I hope trail mart burns in hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope Marlin will respond to this personally on the board, but I suspect he has too much integrity to openly "bash" Trail Gear or everyone's favorite employee.

I would at least like to hear some facts from him just so we know what the actual truth is.  I know we can trust him.

The Trail Mart discussion board says that Marlin Crawler had agreed to a release date of Friday at 5 pm.  Doesn't Marlin Crawler close at 5 pm?

I think Marlin is getting screwed but he's too nice of a guy to say anything. A company representative definitely needs to clear the air for us all

I agree that in reality this is none of our business, but I think we do have a right to know if marlin crawler will be selling these or not. If TG is the only company allowed to sell them, I think its fair to know why and if the idea was indeed stolen. Since everything here is largly speculation (i havnt seen much to back up any claims) Im just going to wait and see what unfolds. If the design was stolen by TG then I think that is really screwed up and TG has just lost another customer. Hopefuly though someone can clear things up at least a little bit. I would rather go with out them than buy them from a company that used shady tactics to reserve the right to a product. But like others have said, it isnt our business so we cant demand to know every detail.

The thing is, for the most part it's been covered in the past, but the threads typically become emotionally driven and get out of hand, thus being locked or shut down.  There's a sticky at the top of one of the sections, explains a little but not all.  Due to the nature of it all, I doubt you'll ever hear too much detail on this unless you become a mod and are privy to the site/company's intimate details.

But glen, as long as cg deletes a post, doesn't that mean it must not have been true?!  Trying to snowball your unsuspecting customers is just plain wrong!  If he feels he's in the right, he shoulda left up those 2 posts and explained himself.  Wait, that's just what somebody with integrity would do
