 What a day.  One of my buddys (a comercial manager from another district) heard a loud noise outside the building, when he went out to check it out he saw a 17 year old kid laying on the ground.  He thought that the kid had got ran over.  When he lifted the kids head he noticed a bullet hole in his head, the kid took his last breath right there in my buddys arms. 
Then in front of our store a person stole a stinkin thing of cookie dough from the local grocery store he was chased down by the employees of that store and hit until he hit the ground.  Over some cookie dough 
Then my assistant (female) got harrased at work today by one of our accounts it was a bunch of rude remarks and she is ready to sue them.  I dont blame her one bit after she told me what they said.  So now I have to settle that.    i think it is time for a    Your turn!!!!

Cingular says i owe them $115 for a phone that just shut off and wouldn't turn back on.  i called them before and they said it would be covered.  so i sent it in.  i just got it back yesterday with a note saying that it was phisically damaged and that the warranty wouldn't cover it.  that kinda wierd since i am paying $3 a month for the full warranty.  what good is the warranty if it doesn't warranty anything?  and the phone isn't phisically damaged at all.  no way i am paying them.

OK I'm at work Monday, I pull into the parking lot wait for my boss to go around me so I can back into my parking spot, when a guy from swing shift walks in front of my truck, as I was looking behind me to see if my boss was gonna go around, as I look up the gut is walking in front of me and I "nudge him" with my fender no I did not hit him, I was bairly moving and looking behind me, then he hits my fender with his fist, ok ya'all have seen my Baby and I'm sure you responce would have been the same as mine and I thru it into park and got out of my truck we exchanged words (more mine than his) then as my boss realised we werent just kidden around he escorted the guy away, in his words "you better go hame before Dave beats your a$$ that truck is his baby "  way to start the week huh (no damage)

Had to close my bank account 2 weeks ago due to fraud    Opened a new account with the same bank. Changed direct deposite with my employer the same day.  Got new ATM card & activated last Wed. Got paid last Friday. Went to take some money out of the bank & found out that my direct deposite went to my old acct They said there was nothing they can do until Tuesday cause Monday was a holiday. I figured "ok" I have some money in the bank to last through the weekend. Went to Mickey D's with the kids on Saturday & couldn't pay with my card! Called the bank & found out that my mortgage payment went through & over drew my account Now have no money until Tuesday? I called my branch Tuesday & they told me it will be fixed Wed. Got a call from the local branch today & they said that all my money was in my new acct.   but they sent back my mortgage payment So I went to the grocery store to pick up afew things. Got groceries load & went to pay, in valid acct! Tried again to make sure, still the same.  Call my branch again & this time they said there was a lock on my card! "Why" I asked? They said to call customer service. Call them & the person said my card was locked due to some funny activity on my acct. I told them I only had the card 3 days. They said I had to verify make last few transactions. & told them, "That was six days ago! I can't tell you what I did Monday!"  Becides, I signed up for online banking & can't access it! They said I had to verify or they will cancel my card & send me a newone. I said, "Don't bother, I on my to the bank right now to close my acct"!  I won't mention any bank names like UNION BANK OF CALIFORNIA! Don't want to give them any bank a bad rap! Opened a new account at another bank today. So far I happy with them .

call them up and talk it through.  My Dad warantied my brother's phone, same thing happened.  He spent about 20 minutes on the phone, working up the ladder, and got it resolved, and a credit to our account for the inconvenience.



No offense to those of you that are employed by them, but do auto parts stores train you to be stupid?

Two seperate incidents today, at two different places
1. Went into NAPA (in sac) to get some gear oil.  Not exactly sure the capacity of my tranny, so I asked if they could look it up,  no problem, 3.2 quarts for the 5spd.   Then I ask about the t-case.  He clicks it a coupla times, and says that it uses Dexcron ATF    WTF?  I've been putting gear oil in my t-case since I owned the truck?  Told him, "No, I don't think thats right, he insists that it is, and if I don't believe him that he can call the Toyota dealer and ask.  I said "Ok, go ahead"  he calls them up, asks the question, they tell him that the chain drive t-case behind the 5spd uses about 1 and 3/4 quarts of GEAR OIL.  He gets off the phone, and says "Half the time those guys don't knwo what they're talking about, you're supposed to put ATF in there, I've been running it in my Ranger for years, blah blah blah." I ask to see the screen, he turns it around and the first thing I see is 1991 Toyots Pickup 3.0 AUTOMATIC!!!    I had already told him 5spd, and he had answered my questions concerning it!!  When I pointed this out, he said, "oh they use the same t-case. "  I told him that they didn't, and could he please tell me the capacity now that we've established the error, and he wouldn't, because "You won't believe me anyway"



2.  Took my used oil/gear oil (mixed in 5 gal bucket) in to Kragens to dispose of it.  Guy opened it up, and says "Is this mixed?  you can't bring in mixed fluids here, you can't have motor oil and gear oil mixed"  (I've taken it in there like that before)   I asked "since when, I've done this before"  and he said that its always been that way.  I ask him if the recycle both, and he said yes.  I told him that I had brought both in together, and seperately iun the past, and they always had me dump both gear oil and motor oil in the same vat.  They don't seperate them.  I asked if that had changed, and he said " No, we only have 1 vat"    I asked "So you put them both in the same vat?"
  "yes"
  "So they get mixed anyway?"
"Yeah,  duh!"
"So why can't I recycle my oil here? " 
"Because they're mixed, and we don't take it like that!"

  am I missing something here.

Turns out, as I suspected, kid is an idiot, and they really don't care what kind of mix you have, as long as there is no solid stuff in it.

As a NAPA employee, (actually, Oakdale Auto Parts, we are not corporate owned)  I apologize that you had to deal with an asshat like that.  I will, however, mention that if he used the computer, instead of the Valvoline catalog, it WILL list stuff like that.  You say the screen said "91 toy AUTO", so I think I know what screen he was in.  He was in the wrong area, but he was still an idiot for not realizing it.  I work with 3 guys like that.  It's pretty sad, cuz one of 'em owns half of my store. anyhow, sorry you had to deal with that.  I understand what it's like; I have to fix mistakes from the other guys all day long.
