Broken IFS hub studs
« on: Jan 15, 2007, 02:30:43 PM »
I've got (3) broken hug studs on my driver's side.  Do they press in from the back like wheel studs or screw in?  It looks like they thread in, I only have one of the broken pieces, and it broke right at the point hwere the rear threads would start if they were there, so I can't really tell.

Can I replace those with some grade 8 bolts, or are studs better?

I don't think he is talking about the wheel studs. Those press in from the back but I believe the lockout hub studs thread in. If somebody knows for sure that will be great since I have all the hub studs and dowel pins sheared off for both sides right now!
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

Ya, I'm talking about the lockout hub studs, not the wheel studs.
