Got back from moab a while ago.  I'm having major u-joint issues.  Blew 1 in the cv on the front.  Then blew the rear one at the pinion.  WTF!  Not even like this was a hard trip.  Anyways, heres a few pics of moab and one from a winter trip around home.

Either binding or hopping.  I've blown 4 at the rear pinion, 1 at case on the rear, and now 1 in the cv on the front.  It doesnt take much hop to blow a toy joint with these axles.  I think the weight of the truck is killing the joints too.  The rear axle alone with wheels and tires on it is in the 750ish lb. range.

Thats pretty heavy i could see that being a problem for sure, atleast you got 1 tons and its your u joints not shafts breaking:).

maybe it was a differant truck, but it looked exactly like yours running the eliptical and had the desert tan hd diff covers.. .  the 14 b we got wasnt shaved so I must be wronge, just not a real common setup or a real common truck out here. The guy we bought the axle off of worked for a 4x4 shop so he sold the axles to build some super axles to run some 44s on..  he is still running 14b dana 60 their just very very upgraded...
