Blake is correct.  What he showed is a true pocket bike, aka pocket rocket, for obvious reasons.  They've been tiny since I saw my first one in an ad in the back of a boys life many moons ago.  More recently they began making bigger mini street bikes.  I don't know if they came about when pocket bikes recently hit their boom of popularity, but they're not a true pocket bike  :twocents:

what even makes it more a disgrace to offroad is that its a solid axle and the trasnfercase is still installed and there is no front driveline because of the lift.  2WD baby

My buddy sent me this photo in a text message this morning. he works for the rail road and went to work and saw a ranger hanging over half way off of a cliff with dirtbike straps tied to the train tracks to stop if from going down the hill.. come to find out they were drunk and tried calling it in stollen and got a dui and arrested. well needless to say my buddy and the tow truck operator cut the dirtbike straps and this was the final result...  it rolled down 150 -200 foot cliff/hillside.

WHy? it was blocking the tracks, Im guessing who owned it was trespassing on private property and if a train hit it, possible derailment and damage to the train.

Why not just pull it backwards off the cliff?

It was not ON the tracks.

They had a tow truck right there and decided to just cut the straps.

Dumb. Just plain dumb.

MY buddy was there. on behalf for the railroad... the tow truck driver was the one who cut the straps... his excuse was he couldnt get a good pull on it and didnt want to take his tow truck down the hill with it..  It shows how tow truck drivers dont care about your stuff. lol

I guess that makes a little more sense. It's just sad that had to happen. But then again, those fools shouldn't have put their truck in that situation.

Ya, that is definitely a freaking retarded move on their behalf but the one thing that I don't get is that if this truck was really in that bad of a situation on that steep of a hill to where the wrecker that is there in the picture couldn't get it without it pulling himself over, Which I doubt that the ranger could even budge that thing anyways, but how could a couple of drunk idiots even get it tied off with some wimpy dirtbike straps in the first place in that bad of a situation?? Besides the fact that a dirtbike strap could probably only handle 1500lbs MAX. I dunno but I think that the honestly just wanted to see it tumble. Just my thoughts though.

As cool as it was to watch im sure, if the guys who were arrested wanted to be dicks, im sure they cud sue the tow driver for it.
That tow driver shud be ridded of his license IMHO!

&& ive never seen a dirtbike/atv strap hold more then 500LB max load cap.

Even if they wanted to just wreck the truck, IM sure the train company could step in and say something. Like we didnt want to risk a million dollar train for a 10,000 $ truck.

I'm sorry but I run a police garage and the tow driver just bought a truck, once he cut those straps he is now responsible for the vehicle. As to the train they can be stopped just got to call the railroad and let them know that the tracks are blocked, and it is even easier when the railroad co. is standing there. I can't count how many times we/I have had to call Union Pacific and tell them that the tracks are blocked. You would be correct in assuming that the railroad would not want to hit the truck and is even more of a reason that in contacting them that they would not let a train run down the tracks. In todays world even a tow driver must take care in recovering a vehicle, if there is any damage beyond what would have been required to remove the vehicle YOU WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR SAID DAMAGE. Considering motorcycle straps were the only thing holding the truck from falling I think a heavy tow truck and a winch line would have easily pulled it back up, but hey that's just my opinion and 30 years of  experience. I admit that I was not there and could not really say for sure, it would have been a judgement call for the driver but he should have not cut the straps period.
