Bushing sizes?

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the front and rear leaf spring bushings?

Kind of along the same lines, I noticed that the hole in the shackle is about 1/2" but the hole in the new bushing is about 5/8".  When I took the springs off, however, I remember that the original bolt was quite thick (I could be mistaken).  Does this mean that I

1. Need a bigger bolt and drill a bigger hole or
2. That I have the wrong bushings or
3. That I need a sleeve to go in the bushing
