I was thinking about selling my Toyota and gradually building a 4runner. The runner that I've found is a 97 Limited Edition with 168000 miles and they're asking $6500 for it. What does everyone think about that. Is it a stupid move to start over or...?

I'd say depends on what you need it for and what type of wheelin you're doin. i liked how roomy my runner was, but it felt a lot heavier wheelin. I'm sure it wouldn't have done near as well as my 85pu in the snow.
Would be a cool build though. What motor does it have? What are your plans?

ksmith

I'd like to put 60's under it and SAS the front, and probably an exo.
I'm not sure about the motor, it's a 97 so is that a 3.0 or not? For a while it would be a mild wheeler.

I think a 97 would have a 3.4L. I can't remember what year they changed but I think it was around 95.
60's would be a very good idea with the additional weight of the runner.
You can also supercharge the 3.4 and then it's a monster.

those 4 runners are sick. my buddy has one (my old one) its 98 3.4 SAS with 37s and it goes good. its soonn to be exo'd too. It's nice to have the luxuries of a newer runner in a wheelin ride.
