I've been wheeling in my grandfathers ford f-150 since I was around 1-2 years old. Slinging mud on the hunting trails up in Tahema.

I was actually driving the trails when I was 8 years old...

As for rock crawling and getting into my own rig, I think I was 17 years old. My wife which was then my girlfriend wanted a old Toyota pickup so we bought her one, she got tired of it after a month of driving and it offically became my DD to work. I got involved with 4x4wire shortly after and found out about the Winter Fun Fest. I thought it was one of the coolest things I had ever seen, actual trailrides setup specifically for offroading!!

Ended up being one of the founders of norcal4x4 (of Sacramento) and the rest is history...

So i'd say i've been wheeling from 17 and i'm 23 now.. be 24 in Feb.

Nearly 7 years.

In that time i've went from bone stock 1988 Toyota pickup to a highly modified 1982 Toyota pickup which still doesn't satisfy me  :hammer:

You're from tehema county?  Ca?  Not too far from me

I never think of you being 23, you always seem older for some reason :headscratch:

:hahaha:  Yea i've heard a few people on the board say the same thing. Typically when people meet me they think i'm more like 16-17 years old from looks.

I grew up in Yuba City/Marysville area but I've hunted for many years up in Tahema. Back in the old Pelican jeep trail, i've wheeled with the Trailhunters as well. They're all around Redding, Red Bluff area.

I started wheeling when I was 13 and got my first rig when I was 14 a 84 GMC Jimmy on 35's.  Even though I didn't have a license my dad would take me up to the mountains so I could drive.  So now after owning 10 toyotas and now a comp buggy I have been wheeling for 8 almost 9 years and at almost 22 I am totally addicted.

I started wheeling at 13 with my brother in his 93 v6 4runner.  That thing got wheeled to hell.  We used to go out to Folsom lake (i grew up there) every weekend and BBQ and he would let me drive it around oak beach in rocklin.  I got my 86 xj for my first car and 16 and built it into a crawler and now i will be 19 in one month.

I first started wheeling in 1975 after buying a 67 FJ40. Southern Oregon was wide open to travel then.
