Rebuilt 22re. Water in oil
« on: Dec 27, 2006, 07:30:32 AM »
I just finished rebuilding my motor and it has water in the oil already. It hasn't even ran more than 2minutes. Could the head gasket be blown already? Or is there a plug that I could have missed when assymbling? Anyone got any ideas?

Did you check your front cover? Your timing chain could have worn a hole & that would cause this.

x2   Even if it dosent look like it ,it may have a hole, if the wear is bad.

Did you make sure that your head bolts are torqued proper and the holes are absolutely free of any liquid?

I messed this up once.. Left off a hose at the throttle body and it was draining into the head area.. DOH!  Easy fix though.
