New guy from Arkansas
« on: Dec 26, 2006, 02:28:24 PM »
Hello all,

New guy from Little Rock, Arkansas here. My wife got me a nice christmas present, a '79 short bed 4x4. It's a beater, but I intend on fixing it up and making it trail worthy and street worthy again.

Glen, you've met me before when Lance and I came down for the TX takeover in Gilmer. I'll probably be asking you a thousand questions in the coming months

Anyways, here's a few pics of the beauty:

It runs ok, it needs some carb work, and it seems to die once in a while and you have to wait ~5 minutes before it will start again ??

Good news is that it doesn't leak or use any fluids, and starts right up.

I need to get some good gas in it and run the piss out of it. Hopefully I'll be able to play with it on Saturday.

Might be too early to tell. My plan is to tinker with it some that morning or so, and then Lance and I might go wheeling in his truck around Land Camp that afternoon. I don't really want to venture to far in it yet, and I really don't want alot of people over at dad's house since he's not been feeling good.

BTW - more pics here: http://www.dotnofoolin.com/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=album14

Nice springs heh?

Got any ideas? We've got tons of salvage yards here in LR. I can look around if you tell me what to get. I really don't want to move my hangars now (front or rear).

all you need to bring me  is a set of springs from a F150 2wd  late 80's early 90's vintage

then i can fix you up with springs  that bolt to the stock location  and give you 3-4 inches  of lift
