Hey all just wondering how I post pictures on here that are adecent size! If i size my pictures down to the 100kb limit you can barely see them. Thanks

*FFC*

Try posting them to a pic hosting site (photobucket.com, shutterfly.com, etc) then put the IMG link here

Or download Windows Power Tools Picture Resizer

you need to reduce the quality of the picture not necessarily the size of it.

you can do it with any good image manipulation software (Photoshop, Gimp...)

If you use our attachment option locally, then the current settings state that the file will need to be less than 100 KB in size and may only be of the extension txt, jpg, gif, pdf, mpg, png, jpeg, and bmp.

It's not so much the size of an image, it more to do with the quality and the pixel size you save the image at. I usually post 600x400 images at 50% which will bring it down to about 50 KB or less but still produce a decent image. This image I did at 800 and 50% quality so you can see the print but if you notice the size is still around 50 KB. You can do this with any photo editor running windows just save it as a jpg/jpeg and there will either be a quality bar at the bottom of the save button or like in the picture you just click on the options button and it will take you to the quality bar. Just move the bar to 75% or less and it will bring the KB's down dramatically once you've resized the image.

Thanks for all the help I finally figured it out. When I go to save a picture with my management software it asks me what quality I want to save it as. Finally I can post pictures bigger than the size of a damn classified ad! Thanks again problem solved.....
