Thanks for sharing IJ,  that is an incredible story, and I love how her sister and father instead of giving up are pushing ahead in her memory.

That's a tear jerker man, but I like how her dad spun a positive light on the fact that she died where she loved, doing what she loved.  It's also quite a story to be written only a week after your child passed, and definately brought a lump to my throat.

I could only hope for the same if it were to happen to me!

I agree with Nate  - but now I will be thinking of this sad story next time I go to Glamis.....  I guess I should have everyone pray for my safety.  Only God can keep me safe with all of those crazy people out there.

You gotta be EXTRA carefull out at Glamis.I missed T-Day this year, but my ususal buddies went and said that a guy got killed the same way(hit by a rail)about 100ft. from their camp.

You absolutely couldn't pay me to ride at glamis on a busy weekend....

Seriously, that place is just too busy on any warmer holiday to even consider riding.

Wow. I have read about Glamis, but never really knew anything else. The pictures are insane. I would go out there camp, party, and troll for chicks. But never get on a bike arould all the people.

That is insane.

That's actually a show truck.I know the guy that owns it,he has some tractor tires with 24" rims for it.Glamis is about the only off-roading it does and it mainly just cruises the dunes.

I was gonna say, I'm betting the sand is the roughest terrain it sees.   Don't think it'd fit on too many trails, let alone do well in the off-camber :hahaha:

I know that's how she was killed, I had a friend killed the same way in dumont and the guy was drunk as piss. I in no way was trying to be disrepectful.  I'm sorry if it came off that way. As a fellow motocross rider I hate to hear of stories like this.  I wish people would be more careful when operation some large peice of machinery.  Think if that was some little kid riding around....

iNfErNaL

It's pretty crazy out there.Alot of times it may not even have to be alcohol related,it's just plain dangerous, your going up a dune full throttle and wearing a helmet and on the other side, here comes some cat in a rail full throttlee as well(making it almost impossible for either one to hear the other)and boom!!!.That's why it's also a requirement for vehicles to have Whip antenas on them.

I don't think thats disrespectful at all.  I think she'd agree with the sentiment.  If it convinces one person that drinking and playing around is a bad idea, then thers at least some meaing to her death.   If no one learned, she truly would have died in vain :rivers:

I do understand infernal that alcohol doesn't have to be involved as i have ridden in a 500 RWHP dune buggy so i know how loud they are but i also know people like to get :pokinit: faced at the dunes and play around.

iNfErNaL

Oh yeah, most deff. No doubt about that...The cops have been pretty strict out there lately though.I think they're tired of peole dying out there EVERY holiday.
