I'am running an 85 4.3L 390 holly carb 268H comp cam. Shaved and ported heads.Mallory Unilight distributer,Mallory coil. Flat top pistons NWOR headers, glass packs.700R4 tranny with a reprogramed valve body heavy duty clutch and steel plates.A TCI 1500 stall speed whole shot converter. 6" spring lift and 3" body lift.

The guys that run there low riders are very surprised at how hard this thing launches..I can get them out of the hole but by mid track a few catch me.

At times I guess it can be.But off road or running along the beach in Jan. Its very well behaved.

ya I bet the power is nice in the sand. Its hard for me to get into 3rd with my 4 banger in my runner.  but it is also turnin 36's.
