Just purchased a rebuildable 22R for my 1981 4x4
Need to know about pistons and rings .020 over size
Who makes good ones and who don't. Also who has good rebuilt kits. Have looked at DOA and LC tooooo expensive.
I am sure I can find the rotating assy alot cheaper somewhere. Is the parts dept at Toyoto a good source?

thanks Burl

Whats your location?  I know in Sacramento a machine shop called Bokan Brothers is used by Florin Road toyota in Sacramento.  I had them do my crank and they have them in stock to just excahnge out, same with heads.  Crank comes with bearings and everything.  I'm sure blocks to, they do so much yota stuff for florin road toyota

Marlin just rebuilt my 84 22r.  It is still getting put back together in my garage, but from what I can see...  .  Marlin is the man.  My dad also bought a engine kit from marlin for his 80 22r, decent price.  Give them a call and see what kit they use and where they get it from
