I am swapping a T100 axle (66" wide)into the rear of my 4 runner to match the Dana 44 front (67" wide). And the PO that had it did some redneck fab.Tried to make blocks by welding a second set of perches onto the factory ones.He also put a weld bead on the factory perch welds.I think he got it hot enough to cause the tubs to collapsed.I removed the axles and looked inside the tubes and it has a factory plate inside under the perches. So i don't think it hurt the tubes but I don't think it helped them.To get new ones to sit level I think I will have to make some with one side longer to make up for where the tube flattened out.Anyone got any ideals how i could straighten the tubes back out?I have looked for another housing but can't find one.Thanks.
