Man, what were you doing dude? I've wheeled with factory birfs for two years and no problems. I've got the 27spline Longs now just because I went to 37x13.5 tires.

i dont know if i told you this or not, but i had a set of longs that were not fully treated (from when bobby and all-pro were doing their price wars thing.) I broke both sides so i called bobby and told him what happened, he just had me send him 2 stocks and he sent me back 2 treated birfs that were stronger than the ones i had. he just charged me for shipping. in the end i got stonger birfs just had to change them out. if they are the untreated ones you have (they say EMPI on the bell) he wont warranty them.

They arent. They are the 4340 Chromoloy 27 spline birfs. Thats what locktup told me when I bought them anyway. They have LF stamped on the flat side of the bell

I dropped the ball on lilbuddy. I honestly thought I had bought a set of 4340 chomos from Bobby. When I talked to Bobby tonight he informed me that the shaft are 4340 no the birfs. This set is well over three years old. I ran them with 38's aired down to two pound for years. Lilbuddy must wheel harder than I do  :beerchug:. This evening Chris let me know that he was having trouble with them and that they may not be 4340 birfs. I called Bobby to find out what had happened and Bobby called Chris to inform him of the missunderstanding on my part. Chris and I are solid.

Indeed! Jason is the man...

So pretty much what hes saying is that I didnt infact break the 27spline chromo shafts... They were just treated birfs but the inners were chromo and those are still good.

first off chris = a ghetto :stopit:  hahaha. duct tape bushings and get this! so his runners been sas'd how long now?? so he loses one of his frame slugs and we look everywhere for it. he has to go back across town to buy another peice 4" long and has to pay for a foot. $13. that same day we were in true value getting bolts to get the job done. im twiddling bolts through my fingers today doing the very same thing i was awhile back and i look up while chris is searching for the right size bolts and i see his frame tube sitting on the shelf. LOL.  :talkingn:  :talkingn:

Atually its a poly bushing that was too small and wrapped duct tape around the bushing so it will work.

it actually isnt as ghetto as you/we thought it would be. we just wrapped the tape around the bushing a few times to make it thicker and it worked out. saves you $30 right? and its baiscally the same material. duct tape solves anyones problem garenteed!  wait im in debt, no girl, no job,  and i have a tendincy to meet big women at the bar. good night off the board.
