LOL @ IFS

Well Red, at least yours starts... his is, well... he did something that Top Gear couldn't... he destroyed the engine.

red

nice  !!! what year is it and what engine did it have? i'm considering getting rid of my 4runner for something with solid axles and can tow up to 8k pounds. thats my only problem with this 4runner that i cant fix, its tow capability.

LOL @ IFS

His is an '86 and he blew the stock 22RE.  You can fix towing capability by dropping a bigger engine in.  Just be careful about turning, and you'll need to use trailer brakes.  :)

red

the 4runner doesnt have the weight to control the trailer though in an emergency situation with that kinda weight behind it though. it had a hard enough time with about 2k pounds behind it when i went down to texas. moment that wind hit, handling went down. i've found a couple 80's era chevy/gmc pickups and suburbans that i might grab. i'm more used to wheeling a full size as well, feel more tippy in the 4runner than i'm comfortable with sometimes as compared to the gmc pickup i used to drive. (took them both on some of the same trails here in tooele)

I am in Logan... Were you at the mantua thing the other day?
You have a Jeep?  That's cute.... So does Barbi.

Not A Toy

No sir notajeep, I went to mantua last year when there was a lot of snow and I knew better then to do it again this year. ITs a fun trail with limited snow but when it packs it in its no bueno. did you go? Ill post some pics of the last mantua trip, we were up there for 10 hours digging and getting stuck. we ended up leaving a vehicle there over night

I want to go down to moab, but i have not been able to afford that trip, so no I don't think I will make it to St. George area anytime soon.
I have been up to American Fork Canyon, Little Moab and that's about it.  I plan on going to 5 mile pass sometime in the near future and I also want to do some more exploring up A.F. canyon... but i will have to wait for snow to melt first

red

we're headed to 5 mile pass on saturday if you wanna join.
