yeah I haven't turned mine in yet either.  Some plans have changed right now and its kinda up in the air if I'm going to be at the roundup or not.  I have a group thats going down sometime in September as well and I plan on wheeling with them for sure and hope that I can somehow make it to the roudup on the same trip.  I can't afford to drive down twice in less than a month.  But....I'm hoping to make a run up to Naches this July or late June.  The buggy is in the shop for a rebuild right now and check my buildup thread towards the end of the week for the updates.  If I don't get to wheel with you washington guys at the roundup I sure hope to get to wheel with you guys up here somewhere.  I know I keep talking about it but I just haven't had the time recently to do anything.

rednk1980

No worries gotrocks, i think we were talking about a washington guys run to naches or somewhere in like july or around that time. :dunno:

Sounds good to me.  My buddies from down here in walla walla would probably be up for that too.  We have a sweet jeep that we've been working on and he most likely won't be done until then anyway.  When I say jeep I mean a grill and part of the body.  Its linked with 18" airshox f/r on 38's  with a 4.3 Vortec/700r4/203-208 cases with full hydro steering.  Oh yeah and its a "jeepster commando".

rednk1980

hold on i just drooled all over my keyboard, now you really have to come so i can drool some more. haha I finally got mine done enough to where i can actaully wheel it! we'll see this weekend how it mounts up to the funny rocks.

hahaha well heres a couple shots if you missed them from our last time out.  BTW post up pictures for us when you get back on how your rig did.  Hope its working out for you.

Go to my buggy buildup site link in my sig.  The video is linked up from youtube of the wheel breaking and another roll that happened right before.

rednk1980

DAMN!!!!! that hit hard! you would think with a buggy with that low of cog it wouldn't go end over end like that but then again you were like 4ft in the air.  :rofl2:

Me too.  Like I said our rigs won't be done until probably late June early July.  Correct me if this is bad info but someone told me that Funny Rocks is closed because of fire dangers during the summer.  I don't know anything about this so please someone tell me that its not true.

So does that time look good to anyone else.  I'm thinking that Naches will be the best choice.  Honestly I haven't been there yet with my rig and would love to try it out.  I have to get a new wheel too.  It sucks.  But hey thats what happens when you wheel as hard as I do.

I'll be back the last Friday in June, but I'm not sure I'd be up to wheeling the first weekend back (July 4th).

4th of july is a busy weekend for the naches, i don't know anything about them closing the rocks down though during the summer months, I know if the danger gets to high they patrol alot more to make sure you meet spark arrestor requirements, I was thinking a little later in july myself one weekend when there aren't so many people and there is camping thats easy to find.  :twocents: im down either way.

Maybe, I know my wife was considering a camping trip with some non-4x4 friends about that time, BUT I may have a little more push for a 4x4 trip as there is a strong possibly that I won't be coming to MCR6 (see crying guy below) due to circumstances.  Not all hope is lost, but I'm a likely scratch.
