has any1 done or seen a tacoma sas with leaf springs. its not as easy as prev. gens. firewall clearance ,outer rad core support clearance, shackle?placement

its pretty eazy, pretty much same steps as the older trucks, heres a pic of mine!
my wheels, tires and axles are for sale...........$1000 takes all.

there is a steering shaft cover at the firewall, does it need to be modified? once the shaft is moved horizontal will it still turn correctly?

yes that cover/seal does have to be modified on the firewall, and the steering will work out fine with all the stock parts just extend the shaft.

trail gear I believe makes a kit for the swap...aside from your axle.

I would go with the 3 link kit that all pro offers it is bad to the bone

im going sas and want to run 38" to 40" tires, planing on trimming my fenders, a friend gave me a set of front leaves from a chevy (skyjacker with 4" of lift) and his stock 63" rears, just wanted to know if anyone is running the same set up? pics would also be a big help....
