Stock length lift springs?

I am trying to find a good pair of new front springs that are not bowed backwards i am putting them on a 79 long bed work truck, and the springs i have are bent backwards. i am seeing if there is a cheap mod with out relocating the axle forward using rears. i need somthing that is a smooth ride and can handle the weight of a snow plow. i dont need a giant lift but some is would be nice when the plow is off. any suggestions.

pretty simple,  pull your front leaf springs,  and  take them apart,  add in a couple  leaves from a F150  or  2wd S10  pack  , problem solved

all right should i get the main leafs rearched?

Even if you rearch the springs ,they will eventually loose their load carrying capability. I do belive rearching springs shortens their life. Toyota uses lots of thin leaves thicker leaves are what you need to support that wheight, This is why cyoteefrog suggested f-150 springs.  :twocents:

NO,  this  kills the spring

the added 2wd  F150 or s10 leaves,  give you lift  and  flex,  the stock top 2 leaves of the yota  will actually help  with the flex

the front springs i made for a friend  were  the top two yota leafs,  and the rest were F150

ok then i will have to dive a hour to the pick in pull when i have time our local yard wants 150 for a pair of springs evan if i pull them.

where the hell do you live? i live in the undisputably most expensive place for everything in the us, and i got a toy leaf pack for my truck for $40, yes, just one pack, not the pair....

yeah but you live in the middle of nowhere, where stuff is cheap....

i was saying there is no way a pair of springs should cost $150, even if you didnt have to pull them yourself, i got 1 pack for $40 that i pulled, and things here are way more expensive than anywhere else.....

all things aside, the guy looking for those f150 springs really needs to look somewhere else, hes getting reamed

hey man I have a set of 3in front lift springs if you want them free just get them out of my garage, they just need a new center pin, they are rough country, get back to me on myspace and I can get them to you.

hey a complete tuff country 3.5'' lift is 265.00 w/o shocks thats new front leafs and either a block or an add-a-leaf, thats what i would do it's cheap they ride real nice and it will all be brand new

beware  of some of these  "lift springs"  i pulled a set of lift springs off of a 84 truck,   these things were a joke,   they bolted in  same as stock  but  would flex  if you hung a 500 pound weight  on the front bumper.   3 leafs,  and all 3  were almost a 1/2 inch thick

man i bet the rode  real smooth too :rofl:
