Forum taken out of Maintenance mode. Some simple tests now being preformed.

Everything seems to be in order at this time. I may have over looked something, so if you see an error, please report it.

The Search feature has been greatly improved, and I am currently building a search index to decrease search time.

I will be going to bed soon. Hope everything is working normally! Catch ya freaks later

May be unrelated but I keep getting told I have new PMs but there is no way to check them?  Were PMs disabled due to spam or something?  I just get an error message and there is no 'User CP' to check manually.

yes  because of spammers, go to the new member section  and start a new topic  and introduce yourself

As of right now, you must belong to at least the "Rock Crawl'n" member group to use the Private Messaging Function of this forum.

This was done to prevent new members from Private Messaging current members with off topic information (ie. spam).

Please review the following list to understand how member groups at Marlin Crawler work:

Dusty Trails : 0 - 11 posts
Rock Crawl'n : 12 - 124
Rock Master : 125 - 399
Crawler Guru : 400 - 749
4WD Legend : 750 - 999
The 1K Club : 1000 - 1499
The 1.5K Club : 1500 - 1999
The 2K Club : 2000 - 2499
The 2.5K Club : 2500 - 2999
Silver Turtle Award : 3000 - 3999
Gold Turtle Award : 4000+

So as you can see, the membergroup "Dusty Trails" is what new members start in, and we would like to see some more participation from our new members in order to allow them access to the Private Messaging service.

The long-term implications have not been discussed and I am working with new software to better serve our new members. Therefore, this may or may not be a permanent change.

I never got spam either, but some fried on bread with mayo and BBQ sauce sounds great right now!
