When my wallet can take it. I plan on building it into an F-toy, hopefully starting that in 2 years or so. So every mod until then will have that in mind. Meaning I am gonna try to not spend too much money on anyhting that I wouldnt want to use in a buggy.
I am replaceing the transmission now though. I figured out a want to mix and match a CJ-7 T-5 and a 300ZX T-5 leaving me with a nice 5-sp with a 231 and a d300 on the back of it. I figure its a valid mod that I can use in a buggy.
I have to admit, starting with a nissan was a mistake, and I am slowly just taking all the nissan parts off and replacing them with whatever, for example the toyota box, jeep tranny, axles and such. I had an 83 yota long bed over the summer that I DD'ed while I was doing the SAS. I loved that thing and I am trying to buy it back. It was so much lighter and fun to drive with no doors on it, not to mention that it got about double the gas mileage too.
