that forklift is badass, pete hit a couch with it at fullspeed today..........toyotas only............ya a shock will squezz in there its going to be tilted forward pretty hard

haha I have to drive the Nissan forklift at my work because the Toyota forklift doesnt have the side to side ability. I wish we had a newer Toyota ours is like 30 years old though

went out there today and cut off all the old tubework  around the bed and some of the back of the frame since it had a bunch of :pokinit: welded to it that i didnt want anymore it is just going to be easier to extend off of then trying to clean up what i had.  also took off the tailgate and did a little work straighting the bed which is actually coming out pretty good and the truck is looking pretty sick now how it is, definitly a very nice departure angle back there.  Got one more full day tomorrow before i go back to work so i am going to try and bust the whole thing out. also got going on the rear shock mounts which are real tricky with a truck this low and 14" shocks but its gonna be sick...........

John Doe

Great job so far! I am looking forward to seeing what you do for the rear shock mounting.

spent all that time yesterday messing with the shock on the drivers side but decided to flex it out before i did the other side and luckily i did that because it wasnt going to work so i just bent up a tube to go from side to side and im just going to poke the shocks up through the bed

hahaha. any updates? i know trying to accomplish running shocks outside the frame rail are really hard. why not run them inside as least triangulated as possible?

mission accomplished, another mission accomplished today = me getting pissed the flop off and laying down the worst welds ive ever done all over my shock mounts..had to give up and call it a night

kiyul4130

theres days when your on and your off. i was tyring to help scott with his truck (sliders) a few days ago and couldnt weld to save my life. it was terrible.

ya my welder took a :pokinit: from too much drunken welding by other people and billys was not doing it for me.  cutting some giant holes in my bed for my shocks to pass through relieved some stress quite well though

kiyul4130

im sure they will only stick up no more than a couple inches right? tabs welded on top of the tube or how they were before?

the eye of the shocks is 6" from the floor of the bed and the top of the tube is 2.5 +- above that, its takes up a good amount of room for sure

Ramrod

truck is all done, drives awsome, flex's out of control and is super stable.  Going to get exhaust in the morning and wheelin it........pics to come but i gotta roll out, peace

kiyul4130
