like 9" at the axle and 8" at the frame.  I kinda screwed up and wish i would have made more at the axle end so i could get better use of the adjustable upper mounts and more room for my driveshaft but it should work good like this

Thats good. This is the setup i would have to go with because i wouldnt want to move the tank or use a fuel cell.  I really want to see some flex shots when your done.

Yea i have, i forgot he had the same setup but with air shocks. Im wondering how far the coils will droop out with out getting stretched. Dont you think you will need limiting straps?

The shocks will help limit the coils from being stretched for the most part.

Are you going to run a trac bar?

Ramrod

he's barely done :pokinit: but his dual adapter came yesterday so now he can do alot with that but he has to deliver a mog to seattle this weekend so its going to be pushed back a little further

Doof

how long ago did you go rear disk brakes?

lilbuddy

RIP Kyota.... you are the man

GET IT!!!

Ramrod

ya that was a while ago, like august or something.......
so work is kinda slow right now (hopefully not to much longer) and i dont have to work till next thursday so should be busting this out, going to make a big fatty breakfast and get down on it

Ramrod

just put in a good 4 or 5 hours on the truck, seems like all i did was weld all day somehow.  also mad a couple new gussets one of which is pretty massive made out of 4x4x.25" and also capped off the bottom of the lower link mounts on the axle with some diamond plate that was laying around.  Tomorrow i should be able to finish all the welding on the link mounts and get the axle back in for the last time after it gets a fresh coat of paint.

kiyul4130

where the pics homeboy. flopp gettin a full pint of beer thrown at you.......

pics are gay, i just out there to work and pretty much just welded all day i think and cleaned up the axle some for paint.  I was way hungover and also had to fix the brandnew gator someone crashed last night and snaped the tie rod so i welded it back together and then on the testrun mobbin through the vinyard with a glass of wine in my hand i hit a goose, that was pretty crazy

Hyena

the tie rods in gators like to break a lot.

Ramrod

just a little bit of tech on that note is that a 3/4" allthread coupling nut works great for sleeving broken gator tie rods.

Ramrod

baller, sits 26.5" to the frame perfectly level, will probably drop it down a touch when i link the front but will try it like this for a while

monster gusset

i have alot more pics but thats all i have time for now

these springs feel like they about perfect spring rate, they are probably just a tiny bit softer than chevies from my standing in the bed with no shocks bounce test.

twistedtoy92

what kind of springs are you using??

ya stockers, no it sat perfect with them regular but  i was trying something different for my upper coil mount which didnt end up working and tried to make it work by cutting some.

myspace is being totally gay right now.  Ya, i will tow you to the hammers,  but that passenger seat is mine.  i need to find out what size trailor hitch ball it has and how good the tires are.  plus do all the lights work and stuff?  I have that wednesday-friday off so if you have you want to leave wednesday i think that would be sweet.  i don't want to drive all night again.
