fresh/recirc air q

a long time back I swapped in AC and now I just took it back out - is there something that was covering up the hold under the passenger side to stop all that freeeeeezing air from coming in besides an old shirt stuffed in there?

yes there is.  

there is a wedge shaped piece that the control cable hooks up to with a flaper valvein it and also a large diameter accordian looking plastic hose hooking the wedge thingy to the heater fan intake.  

i'll take a picture of mine if you'd like.

sure, I have an aftermarket heater so I wouldn't use the hose part but if I can hook a throttle cable up to open or close the recirc deal that would be cool..
