Thanks for the props.  The rear carrieir can drop down and out of the way of the gate, but tools are necessary.  I just have not came up with a quick release system.

Thanks. The toyo's are an excellent all around tire. Hooks up well.  Awesome side protection. and long wearing.

85 and still running

Nice job on the build up. I have the same specs on an 85 and I've been curious about the soft top as well. My biggest concern is security. I live at the beach and park on the street. I would be concerned someone can get in the truck easier with the soft top. Do you feel it is secure enough?

I used to live near redondo beach.  The soft top is definately not secure enough especially if you park on the street.  I really enjoy the top though.  The canvas is just held of by straps and buttons.
If you must have one, then install security devices such as hidden kill switch, removable steering wheel, alarm, etc...

I just got the soft top and love it. I got a jeep steel lock box center console and put the raido and cd player in it.
I also put 2 of the kill switchs in there too and one out in the truck. when i didnt have a top it was broken in to once and the dumb ass tryed to pry it open but didnt have any luck but messed up the box bad i had to buy a new one but definatly a good top.

nice. how are the lights working out being were they are. they look like they might get taken out by the tire when flexed.

Nice looking paint job. Not much for orange on a vehicle, but it seems to look great on your Toy.

I've got 2x4 rectangular ones located a little more forward in the fender well and the tire seems to stay clear of them when fully stuffed in there. So I'm sure his should be ok. But hey, who knows.

Bumps stops keep my tires from taken anything out and my springs reaching negative arch.  For being wal-mart lights they kick ass. Very bright.  2.5" round. They look exactly like my to bigger lights. $15.00.

yes they are 36x12.50.  15x10 m/t's, Allpro 4" front, marlin 4" rear. Marlin hysteer, marlin's single 4.7 case, marlin tranny, aussie front, detriot rear, yukon 5.29.  I've tried to get the truck to sit lower by puttin 3.5" shackles in rear with 4.5" up front.  I think the fenders throw it off.

What kind of seats are those? They look like really nice seats.

Kragen $125. ea. w/ tilt and adjustable sliders.  I was able to use my stock seat mounts.  2" crow 4 point harness w/ automotive buckle. $43.

DeadlyPeace

I've got those same seats in mine and they're really comfortable. I like how the back seat pad flips up. Makes a good place for putting paper work or what I normally have is a oil spill emergency kit.

Does your high lift holder pivot down so you can open the tail gate, or do you have to remove it first? Nice rig, I love the paintjob!!

thanks.  All you would have to do is loosen the large bolts then the hi jack would swing all the way down.

No I have a mostly stock 88 with 4.7:1 low gears and 33's . I use it mostly as a daily driver to sacramento and back. I think I have seen the truck you are talking about in my area.

The pickup on the left is a stocker.  the orange runner has 4" springs, detriot rear, aussie front, 5.29 yukons on 86' rear end. hysteer, marlin's single 4.7 case w/ twin stick, marlin 5 speed tranny,  allpro front bumper and shock towers, marlin rear bumper, Kragen seats.  Future mods are a roll cage, front d-shaft and sliders.

Might be selling can-back soon if anyone's interested?
