Last One,  We went into Red Lake and Cayote.  We also did Meer but didnt get pics.  Only carnage was my power steering cap came off(A rag and duct tape fixed that, and my rear crossmember bolts in the toybox stripped out(Straps fixed that).  Otherwise everything went well.  First time out with the toybox, The 140.1 really made things easy.  It was a fun 4 days

Alot of good pics, looks like you really had some fun!  How were my mosquitoe's doing up at the lake?  They got me pretty good back in July/Aug.

The mosquitoe's were not bad at all.  It was a lot of fun and a good shake down run.  Mere(Sp) was a lot of fun and was a good test.  Cant wait to go back up.

Got any pics of going over the rock?

This is the LC that went with us!
Check out my post "most awesome vacation ever!" in the chit chat forum.  I don't know how to link it!

Looks like a cool trail. I read about it a few months back. Is it down in the fresno part of the state?

Hottrod81

No pics of the rock, wish we could have gotten some.  The rock is a lot easier going up then going down.

Yes, it's on 168 above Shaver Lake.

What are the major obstacles(sluices, hills, etc.) How long is it? I might want to go check it out next year. I live in southern oregon and alot of the trails in this state are of the mud/tree sort :stopit:. With the rubicon having so much traffic I'd like to check out some of the other granite trails.

Most are trails that wind through the hills.  The Red Lake trail is 2 miles and Coyote Lake extends about 1.5 miles past that.  Dusy trail is 33 miles while Swamp Lake is 7 miles.  Most of the terrain is rocky.  Mirror Lake is only 1.5 miles but it has a 150 yard hill that is believed by many to be the hardest obstacle up there.  Our group made it through that trail without any problems except for snagging a few diffs.

East of Fresno is alot of trails.  We wanted to do Dusy but it was still closed, 2 weeks later it was open!  But when you drive all the way from Tillamook OR, you get to do whatever trail you can!  I was told that Coyote was rated a 4 on difficulty!  For being my first time rock crawling, it was pretty awesome!  Up here in the Tillamook State Forest we got a bunch of trails that have alot of rocks to crawl on, but I don't have a rig thats capable of doing them yet!  I went with a former Marlin employee, Dean~4thewknd, just to see how I want my rig set up!  Just do a google search on the trails, you'll get alot of information!
