its a narrowed 44. its narrowed 4 inches on the long side and uses a 1980s and newer long side shaft and the short side is still stock. it does make the spring hanger at 27.5 inches so its a little narrower then toyota

Hey, do you have any pictures of your shackle setup? I just got a Chevy 44 for 100 bucks and its going under my 86 Runner sometime in the near future.
-Brian

Rockcrawlintoy

here they are. my axle is narrowed as well as the spring perches so it wont be the same as a normal full width 44. they are under the frame with a full width axle u are goin to have to outboard the springs.

screw the 14 bolt, just stay toyota.  Get a taco rear end if you want a little more width and strength.

Ramrod

hey, you should move that skid plate to the top of the side plates instead of underneath them.  you will gain 3/4's of an inch of belly clearance!

Rockcrawlintoy

i know i have been meaning to do that. i wanna actually weld the plates to the frame so i can mout them a little higher. all in due time

or you could use a 1" body lift puck and tuck that t-case up a lil more. That is if you got the clearance

yeah right now tho i really don't have the clearance. it already is 1/2 and inch from the cab. this summer ill prolly break out the air hammer and tuck it up further.
