Topic: Help!! Johnny joint.....

  I'm installing my straight front and everything was going good till the johnny joint shackle mounts on the rear leafs.  I cant compress the bushings enough to get the clip that hold its together on.  My welder friend rigged up a heavy duty clamp with the perfect size socket and tons of pressure but it just slips out of place every time....5 hours straight down the drain!!!!!

If any one has installed these please enlighten me on how the hell you assembled them

I used a press with a socket and didn't have any trouble. There is a tool made to do this but I don't remember who makes it.
