3500rpm spuder
« on: Jul 12, 2006, 01:25:54 PM »
When i got her above 3500 rpms for more than 10 seconds it would spudder and almost stall. Know it starts and idles but as soon as you rev it up it just cuts out.
Could this be the fuel pump? 84 22r carb was rebuilt and tuned this spring and ran great aweek ago.

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter?  I'd start there.  Then test the fuel pump.  Sounds like you could be running out of fuel in the higher RPM bands.

Check your distributer, it might not be advancing properly.  Not really familiar with a toyota dist. yet!

How's all your vaccuum lines?  Could be getting tired and allowing a leak at higher rpm's!  Motor is doing alot of sucking at that rpm!
Miss ya Dean (4THEWKN) & Kyle (KYOTA)!!
