Okay, i put a different oil pump on with new seals and even siliconed the o-ring so that there isn't any oil coming out of the o-ring and the dumb motor still leaks i've changed every gasket and seal you can and the thing still leaks im running out of ideas. Any suggestions?  :help:

On my 22r crank there were grooves wore where the seals made contact.I picked up some ready sleeves from advanced auto and it cured my problem. I have had issues with the o-ring for the oil pump also, ya got to make shure they are in the grove. I make sure the o-ring is held in place with a few dabs of silicone.

I'm pretty shure that is what there called. They fit really tight to the crank ,and give a good surface for the seal to ride. Make shure ya get the right ones. The auto parts stores here are a real pain to deal with. Good luck!

I've always called them speedy sleeves, but they'll know what you are talking about at the parts store.

??? I put on a stock carb and now i have a truck that really dosen't run. The only way the truck will stay running is if i manully(sp) put gas into it. I know i have a fuel/vacume like hooked up wrong but i don't know what one. Can anyone give me a diagram on what vacume lines and fuel lines go where.  i can't figure this thing out.  :help: any type of help would be appreciated

i had a problem similar to this on my 81, but it just wouldn't start unless i put gas in the carb, after that it would run fine though. what i figured out is that the ground from the carb to the emission control was bad. try running a new ground off your carb directly to your frame and see if that helps you out. there should be a little harness off your carb with 4 wires. the black one is the ground. also make sure you have power to your choke (if it's electric) and that the choke isn't your problem.

My truck had a weber on it and they cut all of the wiring that they didn't need and now i dont know where what wires are. so im still trying to find the wires to hook up my choke right. now its just hooked straight up to the battery.

sweet start to a build,  you have any close up pics of where the bumber and winch plate mount to the frame and each other?  I am starting on a '80 mini and I want to build a bumber similar to yours.  keep up the good work.

I have step by step pics of how i built the bumper if you want  but im gonna have to take some close up pics of how it bolts onto the truck. the winch and the bumper are two seperate peices that bolt together. so i could take the bumber off and leave the winch on if i wanted. the winch plate has six bolts holding it on two to the  crossmemer and four to the bumper, the bumper has four bolts to the frame and then the four that bolt the winch on as well. So basically you would have to pull the winch through the frame crossmember and bumper to tear it out doubtful that that happens. Hopes this help you out ill post up some pics when the truck get back haven't had time to go pick it up yet. hopefully tomorrow i will go get it.

Not really anything to update on the 80 Just i dont have an oil leak any more and she runs like a top. I've been wheeling a couple time in the snow and she did pretty well.  But im thinking of running beedlocks not to close in the future but does anyone have any good suggestions of what beedlocks to run, that are at a reasonable price?

Alright got some progress startin on the yota.
hoping to get some 5in allpro springs  :crossed:
Shock hoops
bilstein 5125
5.5 shackles
Hysteer/ifs box

Hoping i can get all this done by late Jan the two problems im gonna have is that i will have to get rid of my front bumper to make room for the new hanger, and i have to extend my frame two inches so i wont have a nasty shackel angle when i put on longer springs. Stay tuned for progres :woohoo:

You must be   if your looking at TG parts.  They are just Marlin ripoffs!  After all that Chris and Matt did to Marlin and crew, I wouldn't be caught dead running their cheap chinese crap!  They are well known for trying to copy other companies designs and trying to sell them for cheap!  They are copying some of Marlin's stuff, as well as poison spyder stuff for jeeps!  When you buy something, you got to look beyond who's is cheaper!  You got to look at who's is better.  Sorry, but TG just gets my blood boiling!  I'll leave it at that!
