funny you say that.... I'm doing it in the morning... went and got the hardware today + I got some small rubber bushings to help insulate vibes.

so is it really as simple as drilling through the center of the mount from the bottom?  please explain if I am wrong or post pics of yours

take one out and it will all make sense, theres already a small hole in the center, just need to open it up to 1/2", then run your bolts up from the bottom so the nuts are on top

This is what I did about 3 years ago. I run a nylocks nut with a lock washer so that I can leave some play in it to help with vibration. I have never had an issue with them comming loose. I also put a little piece of mud flap between the bolt head and the nut. Oh yea I use a grade 8 also.

EXACTLY!!! dont flatten the lock washer completely so the stock rubber can still do a little work

on the pirate board it mentions that this setup with poly bushings causes more vibrations on at higher speeds?  are these motor mounts going to be an issue on the highway
My Build 1986 4runner SAS 36s etc

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

it is noticably more rigid, mines 95% trail only so I'm not concerned
